A Call for Universal Accountability

As stated here earlier, the initial US attacks on civilian boat operators in international waters were conducted without vital congressional authorization. The unconfirmed assertion that the vessels were engaged in transporting drugs into this country and arbitrary and unprovoked acts of murder against non-combatant human beings in an undeclared war constitute clear violations of domestic and international law. As a consequence, those responsible for planning and carrying out this wanton act of homicide on the high seas should rightly be prosecuted by domestic and international courts for the ultimate crime against humanity.

Whether in uniform or in well-tailored suits, war criminals everywhere need to be held accountable for their heinous transgressions. To be clear, this declaration applies equally to the current occupants of the White House, Pentagon, and State Department as it does to their counterparts from past administrations here and elsewhere whom have yet to be held similarly culpable for unlawful acts of violence around the world. Justice is a necessary prerequisite for humanity’s healing.
