In aftermath of USA’s recent exit from the World Cup, I actually feel bad for Balogun as well as for the entire team because Trump’s arbitrary interference in a process that had already been adjudicated. It put an inordinate/unnecessary amount of pressure/focus on an individual player and his team. The post match celebration of the Belgium team and the uncharacteristic poor performance by the USA speaks volumes about Trump’s ability to negatively influence just about everything thing he touches.
